$200 More Reasons

I’ve been holding off on getting an iPhone for one big reason: I didn’t want to pony up the $200 to break my contract with T-Mobile. Now that Apple has dropped the price the iPhone, it’s much more likely that I’ll be getting one. Sure I know everyone who waited in line to be the first to get it is crowing, but I for one am happy. Very happy. Thanks Steve.

Not Backing Down

Ang Lee’s new erotic espionage film Lust, Cation received a NC-17 rating from the MPAA. Rather than reedit it to for a lighter rating, Focus Features has accepted the rating and will release the film as is.

It’s nice to see a studio stand behind their director and support their vision of the film. Imagine where America cinema would be if more studios stood behind their directors rather than put out a watered down version.

Breakfast

This morning I made breakfast: scrambled eggs with onions and peppers, honey wheat pancakes, sausage and a nice cup of fair-trade coffee. Nothing special but it has been months since I’ve spent the time to make breakfast.

It’s not been for a lack of wanting to cook,I do love cooking, my weekends have just been impacted. Between training and racing I’m usually up and out the door before 7am with only a cup of coffee. Now that the season is coming to an end I’m able to take the time on the weekends to enjoy the simple things.

I know it won’t last for long. Soon I’ll be up early again on team rides and training for the next year. But, for this short time I’m going to enjoy it. Who wants pancakes?
